With ambitions to help repair the world, I spent many years working as an attorney, teacher and community activist before I became a yoga instructor. Sharing the teachings and practices of yoga is the best way that I can do my work in the world. Yoga fosters growth, understanding, compassion and conscious living.
I found my way into yoga when my children were young, and I was seeking a deeper connection to myself and a supportive, nurturing community. I immediately loved how I felt during yoga: elevated, buoyant and clear, the resonance of which remained long after the class ended. I enjoyed the interesting and conscious conversations that were that were happening at the studios. When my youngest of three entered kindergarten, I enrolled in my first of many life-changing yoga trainings.
I have had the privilege to teach yoga to students of all ages, backgrounds, physical abilities and belief systems for 16 years. The students that I have met along the way have taught me more than I could ever teach them. I am blessed and grateful.

Mission Statement
My mission is to create a welcoming, brave, inspiring and judgement free-space where individuals can come together, explore, learn and experience the transformative practice of yoga. That space may be in yoga studios, wellness destinations, community programs, places of worship, teacher trainings in virtual circles. That space is always open to everyone.
Approach, Style and Lineage
While each yoga class I offer is unique (depending on the season or time of day, the physical space and our collective intention), you can always expect clear instruction on alignment and breath, safe, progressive sequencing with options for adapting or varying postures, and a supportive community. I teach in a style that honors the roots of classical yoga developed and codified in India and is informed by decades of personal practice and training in the Hatha, Ashtanga, vinyasa flow and Yin styles.
You may hear me say in class: "Stand in a way that embodies how you want to be and feel today. . ." Through an embodied practice, I believe how you show up on your yoga mat can set the template for how you want to show up in the world.
Through a steady-paced, soulful vinyasa flow style practice with quiet moments for self-inquiry and contemplation, it is my hope to guide students inward to experience peace.
Whether on Zoom through a curated playlist, or in studio with a soundtrack of uplifting songs and intentional silence, you can always look forward to music that will add to your experience.
Trainings, Certifications & Study
I am a dedicated student and practitioner of vinyasa flow-style yoga, yin yoga and different styles of meditation. A workshop-enthusiast and life-long student, I have completed the following trainings.
